Since we've been home...

I can't believe that Kaitlyn has been with us for 9 days now. We arrived home very late on Saturday & into a snow storm. Thank you Craig & Rosalie for braving the awful road conditions to come & get us at the airport!

Sunday was a stay in your jammies day and we just hung out & let Kaitlyn get used to her new house. I figured she would be kind of hesitant about being in an new environment but she woke up Sunday morning acting as if she had always been here. One of her favorite things to do is run back & forth up the long hall in our house. She loves her room & spends a great portion of each day taking everything off the shelves. She is great at playing by herself & is really into staking blocks right now.

She has the best smile and when she gets going she smiles with her whole body. It is just the cutest thing and makes us go all gooey. Let's just say that she has us completely wrapped!

We went to the doctor on Monday and Kaitlyn is a normal & healthy 15 month old. She is doing all of the things that she should. It was great to hear this. She is now 30" and 17.12 lbs. She is in th 5th percentile for weight but considering she eats like a horse we aren't all to concerned. She is by no means a picky eater right now. The only thing she has outright refused to eat is orange juice. Ben has already fed her salsa & guacamole.

We are still working on the sleeping issues and Momma is pretty tired most of the time but as they say "this too shall pass". Everyday is just amazing and everyday we get to know Kaitlyn's little personality a bit more. When we first met Kaitlyn her foster mother decribed her personality as "sweet" and she could not have been more right.
