Back from the first meeting. In-Yeoung (Kaitlyn) is gorgeous! She is also very attached to her foster mother and is shy of strangers. Her foster mother is also very attached and was having difficulty as soon as she came in. Apparently she had Kaitlyn for the longest time of any of her foster children. Renee got to hold Kaitlyn for a grand total of ~ 10 seconds before she melted down and went back to her foster. We found out lots of really nice things about her - she likes music and loves to dance! Her favorite foods are spicy (apparently she is true Korean). She likes books and loves to be read to before bed. The books for the shower were perfect!!!
She will be OK with you very soon after you are together in a few days. It must have been so hard to leave her. Your description of her enjoying music and books sounds like what I would expect from your daughter. Hang in there guys! Love you always, Great Dantree

She's just lovely. How fortunate that she's had such amazing care - and she's behaving just as you'd want your healthy 15 month old to! Thinking of you all...keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteshe is gorgeous. She is Aacting like any 15 month old,being shy and not wanting to go with somebody she does not know. She will come around after she is with you guys. I know you are disappointed,but give her some time!! She just sounds so much like your kid. We love you both . The first few days will be rough,but you are 2 wonderful people and she will be your daughter forever. Love you sweeties. Momma
